End of Summer Trip to Utah

So we (really Andrew) is in full gear searching for a job for after graduation (Hooray, he graduates from law school in December). And we are searching for a job in Salt Lake and Denver. So if any of you are aware of any opportunities for a new lawyer let me know. But anyway, Andrew set up some meetings with firms in Salt Lake a week or so ago and I took advantage of this trip to take the whole family out and visit family and friends in Utah. It was an adventure getting out there because our rental car experienced mechanical problems. The rental car (Alamo) customer service was minimally helpful and in fact Andrew had to reschedule some of his meetings because the run around we got from the rental car company put us behind schedule. But we ended up making it to Utah safe and sound (after getting a new rental car) and had a great time spending Labor Day weekend with family.

The boys in our hotel room.

We normally just drive all the way thru to Utah but this time we decided to get a hotel up near Vail (which is a little over two hours from our house). We originally got a hotel room because Andrew had a meeting with a firm early Thursday morning with a firm in Grand Junction, but it turned out to be a good thing for another reason because of the whole rental car debacle. The front end of the car started shaking violently as we drove up over the mountains. We didn't have much confidence in the car (particularly because of the steep grades and being in an area that is not populated very much), so it was nice to have a hotel to stay in, regroup, and try and get a new rental (which turned out harder than it should have). We got to the hotel a little after 10 pm and everyone was ready for bed except Zac. It was a fight to get him to go to bed that night.

Zac loves his rocking horse at Grammie and Grampie's house.

We spent a couple days in Tooele. It was a great weekend for a BBQ, and that is exactly what we did over at Andrew's brother Brandon's house. We also had a fun time playing in the pool.

Long after everyone else was out of the pool our little water boy was still having a fun time in the water all by himself.

The water was a little too cold to put Zac in the water but he had fun hanging out with Grammie!

We had a nice visit in American Fork too. Tracie was in town from Florida which made it extra fun.

A game of Red Rover got a little rough but it was a perfect evening to spend outside.

We went with my family over to Wheeler Farm. It was the first time we had ever been. It's a nice place.

My boys love horses. Little Zac couldn't get close enough.

Zac looks like a natural little farmer ready to drive that tractor.

We had a great time in Utah and who knows when we'll be back. Hopefully soon. Remember, if you hear of any opportunities for new lawyers, let me know.

All the pictures are so fun! Your boys sure are cute, and I definitely have a special little place in my heart for that sweet Zachary. Looks like a great time. Can't wait till we are all living in Utah together someday!!
